Abstract


The total number of inpatient cardiovascular operation and procedure increased 28% between 2000 and 2010, from 593000 to 7588.000 (AHA statistics, 2015). Nearly 400000 CABG procedures are performed annually in the United States.
CABG is the most durable and complete treatment of ischemic heart disease (Kulik, Ruel, Jneid, Ferguson, Hiratzka & Ikonomidis, 2015). The biopsychosocial needs is a comprehensive, integrative framework for understanding human development, health, functioning and helping in anticipate problems that facing in medical care for patient, (Melchert, 2011).
AIM OF THE STUDY
• This study aims to:
Assess the Biopsychosocial needs for patients undergoing open heart surgery:
 Assessing physical, psychological, social needs for patients undergoing open heart surgery.
Research questions:
This study was based on answering the following question:
 What are Biopsychosocial needs for patients undergoing open heart surgery?
