Investigation and optimization of different types of draw solutes for forward osmosis water desalination
Manal Mounir Ahmad Ali;
Abstract
The main aim of this study is to improve and develop different types
of FO draw solutions with an easy recovery method for seawater
desalination.
The thesis comprises five chapters:
Chapter I
This includes introduction concerning the water crisis, general
properties of the different types of water desalination methods, particularly
FO and aim of this work was also involved. Great attention was given to the
importance of FO application.
Chapter II
It comprises the literature survey on FO process, concerning its
theoretical bases, general properties, literature survey of the draw solutes and
FO different applications.
Chapter III
Chapter III describes the materials, reagents and instruments, the
experimental methods are given concerning preparation of the draw solutes
as well as types of analysis used to characterize this draw solute
of FO draw solutions with an easy recovery method for seawater
desalination.
