Abstract

Birth control has recently become of urgent necessity to our
country.
A safe contraceptive method is one in which the health
benefits outweight the health hazards associated with its use. Hence , the barrier contraceptive methods specially diaphragm

;releasetl to give local permenant contraceptive effect.
Metrorii ble was the sp ¢1de of choice, where it is safe,
not absorbed from vaginal wall and has a health benefit other
'(than contraception.

1.1. In- Vitro drug rel asefTom the prepared films.
Polyvinyl chloride,
polystyrene
as well as natural rubber
were the polymers of choice to act as matrices from which metronidazole release is controlled.
