Abstract

Birth control has recently become of urgent necessity to our country. A safe contraceptive method is one in which the health benefits outweight the health hazards associated with its use. Hence , the barrier contraceptive methods specially diaphragm are very safe methods with zero percent chance of death per • 4 year. In addition,' diaphragm has noncontraceptive benefits and some protective effect against the development of cervical dysplasia. In this thesis, trials were made to obtain diaphragm acting as a controlled-release reservoir from which a spremicide is ;releasetl to give local permenant contraceptive effect.
