Abstract


Self-Learning is an activity done by the learner in order to develop attitudes, abilities and capabilities responsive to learner interests in order to achieve personal development, integration and successful interaction with society by relying on himself and trusts his abilities in the teaching and learning process. It was and still considering one of the best learning style because it achieves each learner learning commensurate with his abilities and speed depends on himself.
Nursing as proffesion is based on Knowledge and Practice thus it entails the development of cognitive and psychomotor skills this dual approach requires multiple approaches be utililized to ensure the best possible outcome consequently the appropriate patient care. Strategies to meet these demands are based on different methods such as self-learning package which is characterized by active participation of the learner which is a cornerstone of the learning process. Most of Nurses consider the self learning a suitable teaching strategy in relation to their working circumstances, as they can't engage in formal teaching programs due to shortage in their numbers and too much responsibility.
