Mohamed Mohsen Mostafa Hussein Habib;
Abstract
SUMMARY
T
he heart failure syndrome is rapidly becoming one of the most prevalent cardiovascular diseases in recent years and has a high mortality rate. Several trials have revealed the benefit of exercise training. Trimetazidine is known to increase the exercise tolerance in patients with ischemic heart disease.
The objective of this study is to assess the effects of adding Trimetazidine to standard medications in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy referred to cardiac rehabilitation programs on functional capacity, quality of life and indices of left ventricular function.
