Abstract

Acne is the m0st prevalent skin disease 0f ad0lescence and adulth00d inv0lving bl0ckage and/0r inflammati0n 0f pil0-sebace0us units (hair f0llicles and their acc0mpanying sebace0us gland), (de Almeida Delatti M., Lage R., M0raes E., Abdalla B., d0s Sant0s M. 2018). It is a multifact0rial inflammat0ry disease, (Szepiet0wski et al. 2018).
Many fact0rs affect individual patient acne treatment such as the type 0f acne, its severity, the patient’s ability t0 use the treatment, and their psych0l0gical state, (Hayashi et al. 2018). 0ral is0tretin0in therapy is 0ne 0f the m0st efficaci0us therapies f0r the treatment 0f severe acne since its intr0ducti0n in 1982. The usual c0urse 0f is0tretin0in lasts 16–24 weeks, with increasing am0unts used as t0lerated until the target d0se, typically between 120 and 150 mg/kg, is reached, (Lynn et al. 2016). 0ral is0tretin0in may exert a significant change in baseline CBC, liver and/0r lipid pr0file, (Vallerand et al. 2018). Since these changes may be d0se-dependent and/0r aggravated by the durati0n 0f treatment, basic serum lab0rat0ry investigati0ns are m0nit0red at baseline and m0nthly, (Genc0glan et al. 2018). 0ur results sh0w highly
