Abstract
A vi an infectious bronchitis virus is an acute highly contagious disease causes high economic losses, this study was applied to optimized the growth condition ofi.B. virus in cell culture, the result revealed that:
1- The 'virus was grown with in VERs & MDBK CEF cells.
2- The virus was grown in both fixed and roller system but the roller system was more sutible for virus multiplication and yield high titre
3- The most suitable temperature for virus multiplication was 37 than that 25°C and 45°C
'
4- The best multiplicity of infection of the cells to the virus was 2: 1
and 3: 1.
5- The virus was cells free virus with high titer comparing to cell associated virus.
6- The most suitable cell cultures for virus propagation were the vero cellwhich give the highest titer 10 8 after 8 passages while the highest titer for MBBK and chicken embryofibroblast cells
respectively 105 and 107 at passage number 8.
