The Relation Between the Distance of Rectus Plication and the Intra Abdominal Pressure Changes before and Immediately After Abdominoplasty

Helen Kamel mohammed;

Abstract

T
ummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, removes excess fat and skin and, in most cases, restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer.
Diastasis recti means the belly sticks out because the space between left and right belly muscles has widened.
The most notable symptom of anterior abdominal wall weakness or diastasis recti is a noticeable protrusion in the stomach. This protrusion is caused by weakness and separation of the muscles in the mid-abdomen.
