Single Sitting Bilateral Myringoplasty: Outcomes and Complications

Mohamed Salah Dosoky Mahmoud;

Abstract

Chronic suppurative otitis media is quite common disease that has its impact on the patient regarding the hearing and the discharge from the ear. tympanoplasty is the well established procedure for treating such a disease . It is usually performed on separate sessions for the fear of complications to happen on both sides. The most important complication is the iatrogenic hearing loss caused by tympanoplasty. The collected data in the literature revealed that this complication isn’t evident in case of myringoplasty "tympanoplasty type I" for simple perforation.
