Abstract
The current study investigated the predictive factors of functional outcome in 54 patients with GBS that were diagnosed according to Brighton criteria and confirmed by electrophysiological study and CSF examination
The Hughes scale “GBS disability score” was the tool used to evaluate disease severity on admission and also to evaluate functional outcome (morbidity and mortality) on discharge and 3 months later that was categorized into free “grade 0”,minor deficit “G1_2”(favorable outcome), major deficit “G3_5” (unfavorable outcome), score 6 indicating death
