Study of the Possible Pathogenic Role of Endothelin-1 on Intra Dialytic Hypertension and Effect of Carvedilol in Disease Improvement in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients

Abstract
I
ntradialytic hypertension is a common problem observed in patients on maintenance hemodialysis and considered as an independent predictor of adverse clinical outcomes.
Intradialytic hypertension had previously been defined by arbitrary increases in systolic or mean arterial blood pressure from pre to post dialysis. IDH, when defined as systolic blood pressure increases of 10 mmHg from pre- to post- HD, has recently been associated with increased risk for short-term (6 months) and long-term (2 years) morbidity and mortality.
