Abstract
ABSTRACT
Background: Epicardial fat is a specialized visceral adipose tissue in which the coronaryarteries are embedded. Whilesome studies have suggested relationship between echocardiographic epicardial fat thickness and coronary artery disease (CAD), there are no adequate studies investigating the relation between epicardial fat volume (EFV) quantified by multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) and complexity of CAD evidenced by SYNTAX and Gensini scores.
Objective: The aim of this work is to investigate the relation between EFV (assessed by MDCT) and complexity of CAD (evaluated by SYNTAX and Gensini scores).
