Immunological studies of C. perfringens type "A" using nanotechnology.
Aliaa Abd El Bakey Mohamed Abd El Bakey;
Abstract
- In this study, isolation of C. perfringens type A from intestinal contents of diarrheic and freshly dead rabbits has been occurred.
- Isolation and identification of the isolates has been done by microscopical examination, culture characters, biochemical tests and PCR to determine the microorganism which found in samples.
- Isolation and identification tests’ results showed that the main cause of enterotoxaemia which is combined with diarrhea and sometimes deaths of freshly weaned rabbits is alpha toxin secreted from C. perfringens type A.
- So, the protection of rabbits against enterotoxaemia is very important.
- In this study, we prepared vaccine from isolates of C. perfringens type A from rabbits’ farms; then evaluation of the vaccine had been done. The MLD was 120.
