Design of Wireless Transceiver Front-end

Abstract
In this chapter, the implementation of a high output power, millimetre wave transceiver for indoor wireless personal area networks (WPAN) is reported. System level specifications are calculated based on the link budget equations. In addition, an architecture is proposed to achieve optimal noise figure and output power. Finally, a 60 GHz transmitter is designed to deliver more than 20 dBm with power consumption lower than 1.2W.
