Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of splinting anterior telescopic abutment in free end saddle partial denture cases supported by distal implant on supporting structures using digital radiograph.
Ten patients exhibiting mandibular bilateral distal extension edentulous area (Kennedy class I) were selected to participate in this study. Two implants were placed in the area between first molar and second molar following the two stage surgical protocol. Then split mouth technique was applied as each patient was received partial denture retained anteriorly with one telescopic retainer on one side while the other side with two splinted telescopic retainers
