Abstract
The highest survival % was achieved by using clorox at either 15 or 20%.
b. Multiplication
Experiment 1
1. Effect of MS strength and BAP conc.
a. MS strength
Using ½ MS medium achieved the first position concerning shooting % and leaf number, in addition to survival % and shoot number. Media of ¾ MS and full MS shared in the highest rank regarding shooting % and shoot length. Full MS also induced the highest record of leaf number.
b. BAP conc.
The highest category comprised BAP at 1 or 2 ppm for survival %, BAP at 2 or 3 ppm for shoot length, BAP at 3 ppm for leaf number.
The second position was occupied by BAP at 2 or 3 ppm for leaf number and survival %, respectively.
c. The interaction between MS strength and BAP conc.
Combinations of ¼ MS+2 ppm BAP; ½ MS+0, 1 or 2 ppm BAP; (¾ MS+1, 2 or 3 ppm BAP) and full MS+3 ppm BAP; achieved the first rank concerning shooting %. Insignificant effects in the first category include full MS+3 ppm BAP (for leaf number).
