Abstract
In this investigation, the effect of addition of El Dekhaila
pellets fine to El-Baharia iron ore on the physical properties of
pellets in wet and dry form was studied. The effect of this addition
on the degree of reduction was also studied. The results indicated
that the addition of El Dekhaila pellets fine increased the
mechanical properties (Drop Damage Resistance and
Compressive Strength) of both wet and dry pellets. The reduction
of the produced pellets via hydrogen was investigated and models
for the reduction mechanism were proposed.
