Efficiency of venom components of Egyptian and Carniolan honeybee in Egypt at different storage conditions
Hind Abd El-Ghany Zidan Amer;
Abstract
The investigation of the effects of storage conditions on enzymatic activities, protein patterns and toxicity venom components may have important implications for improving techniques used to collect and preserve the venom for a long- term maintence in a competent state.
The possibility of utilized enzymatic activity assays, electrophoresis analysis and toxicity studies to compare the quality of venom extracted by two methods: manual extracted and electrically stimulated methods for two honeybee subspecies A. m. lamarchii and A. m. carnica were investigated in this work. The previous studies also used to evaluate the effects of different storage conditions during storage periods for 24 months on efficiency of venom components are explored in this work.
