Abstract


Effective teaching behavior was defined as those actions and activities transmitted through verbal and nonverbal interactions of the faculty staff assistant and facilitate student learning in the clinical setting. Effective teaching has been described as encompassing the traits of teaching ability, professional competence, evaluation of students, interpersonal relationship, and personality traits. While caring behaviors are those verbal and nonverbal caring actions based on caring theory, demonstrated by the faculty staff assistants and perceived by student nurses to facilitate student learning of professional role development, a caring attitude, clinical confidence, clinical competence, and interpersonal caring interactions.
