Abstract


Silicon• makes up approximately 28% by weight of the earth crust. The complication of silicone breast implants are increasing. The most controversial of which are connective tissue diseases and symptoms. Scleroderma is the most commonly reported rheumatic disease following silicone breast implantation. In 1999,Zandman-Gooddard and colleagues defined silicone breast implanr syndrome as evidence of one or more of the following polyarthralgia, joint swelling, morning stiffness, sensation of tingling, fatigue, rash and fibrositis.
