RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SEVERITY OF HEART FAILURE AND URIC ACID LEVEL IN EGYPTIAN CHILDREN

Abstract
This study was done on two groups of children:
The first group :
Included 30 children with acyanotic congential heart diseases complicated with chronic heart failure, 15 males and 15 females with age ranging from I - 5 years.
The second group:
Included 10 children with acyanotic congenital heart diseases without evidences of heart failure, 6 males and 4 females with age ranging from 1 - 5 years.
The following data were recorded :
* Age, sex, pulse, respiratory rate and liver size.
The following investigations were done and recorded before treatment:
* Serum uric acid level.
* Serum creatinine level.
* Erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
