Correlating the Effect of Natural Lubricity of Carbonate Reservoirs on Torque and Drag of Horizontal Wells: A Case Study
Mckary Nabil Nassif Tadros;
Abstract
Two laterals of a horizontal well drilled in a carbonate reservoir are compared and contrasted to examine the effect of the natural reservoir lubricity on torque and drag in the well. This is achieved by using water saturation as an indication of the amount of natural lubricant in the reservoir and comparing it to sliding rate of penetration.
