ROLE OF FETAL ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY IN DIAGNOSIS OF FETAL CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE

Abstract


: The aim of the current study is to evaluate the role of fetal echocardiography in diagnosis of different fetal congenital heart disease in high risk pregnancies compared to non risk pregnancy in order to asses how the fetal echocardiography is benificial in early diagnosis and mangement of fetuses with congenital heart diseases. Methods the study was done on 53 female with congenital heart fetus and determine the presence and absence of risk factor within each case the study done between 18-30 week of gestation and both basic and advanced views of fetal echocardiography are obtain and assessed and colour Doppler and spectral Doppler as well as m-mode are done ,Data will be analyzed using suitable statiscal analysis.Result there is significance association between the risk factor and the congenital heart disease but there is high percentage of congenital heart diseases among the non risk female and high percentage of isolated congenital heart diseases with no associated other anomalies.Conclusion: As regarding the strong association between the risk factor and the fetal congenital heart, yet the high incidence of congenital heart disease among the low risk female make the basic fetal echocardiography is mandatory study throughout the all fetuses
