Abstract


Quality of life describes an individual’s subjective perception of their position in life as evidenced by their physical, psychological, and social functioning. QoL has become an increasingly important measure of outcome in child life. ADHD incorporates a comparable overall impact on QoL Exaggerated symptom level and impairment predicts poorer QoL. The aim of this study was to identify the quality of life of children with ADHD Research design: A descriptive exploratory study design was done. Setting: Psychiatric Institute Outpatient Ain Shams University Hospital (outpatient clinic of Okasha center for psychiatric Mental Health) Sample: Convenience sample was selected which included (106) ADHD children. Interviewing questionnaire tool for children was used which included two parts: Socio-demographic characteristics, of the parents and their children, Quality of life questionnaire. Results concluded that more than half of the ADHD children under study had a poor quality life
