Radiographic Evaluation of Trabecular Metal Dental Implant (Tantlum) in Implant Retained Madibular Over Denture Cases

Abstract

The study was carried out to compare radio graphically between vertical bone height changes around trabecular Tantalum metal and conventional dual acid etched implants in edentulous patients rehabilitated with implant retained mandibular complete overdentures. Fourteen completely edentulous male patients were selected from those attended the out-patient clinic of Removable Prosthodontics Department, Faculty of Dentistry-Ain Shams University to participate in the study. Patients were precisely selected and thoroughly examined in an attempt to reduce human variables and eliminate any factor that might adversely affect the results of this study.
