The Impact of Intra-Operative Transient Time Flowmetry Measurement on Surgical Decisions in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts

Maged Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim Shady;

Abstract

he aim of this study to evaluate to what extent TTFM parameters can be consider as predictor of the graft failure and change the decision of the surgeon intra-operatively and to what extent this device can help to improve the early outcome and decrease the early post-operative complication (MI, arrhythmia, mortality) These parameters are:
1- Pulsatile index (PI).
2- Mean graft flow (MGF).
These parameters have normal value that shows if these grafts are patent good or of competitive flow or bad grafts.these value are:
1- PI < 3 in Lt System & < 5 in Rt system.
2- MGF > 20 ml / min.
