ABSTRACT
Hearing loss is one of the most common sensory deficits in adults throughout the world; it is the third chronic disability after arthritis and hypertension. The impact of hearing loss may be profound, with consequences for the social, functional, and psychological well-being of the person.
The impact of untreated hearing loss on adult population’s quality of life (QoL) may be profound. It affects the domains of QoL (physical, social, environmental and psychological domain as well). It has been noted to reduce social interaction and functional activities.
