SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF BEAM- COLUMN CONNECTION WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF COATED STEEL BARS

Abstract

Corrosion of reinforcing steel is a destructive form of damage that

affects the serviceability, strength, and stability of reinfo ed concrete structures. Many codes are now regulating the use of epoxy- c ated bars and adding new provisions to ensure proper design and detailing of reinforced concrete structures using such bars. The current research wo k is basically
conducted to observe the seismic behavior of reinforced c ncrete beam
I coll]mn connection with different types of coated steel bars. o achieve this

purpose, an experimental program with cyclic loading tests on large-scale specimens is performed. The experimental program consist d of preparing and testing of ten reinforced concrete beam-column joints. T e experimental
program was designed to precisely observe the effect of the t pe of column
