Effect of shade and thickness of ultratranslucent polychromatic zirconia on the degree of conversion of light cure resin cement

Mina Kamel Mohamed Alkaabi;

Abstract

Ultratranslucent multilayered zirconia restoration is an acceptable treatment option in restorative dentistry and a developing trend in esthetic dentistry. Digital dentistry has simplified fabrication of UTMC zirconia restorations. UTML Zirconia has introduced an opportunity to achieve both esthetic and mechanical requirements for restorations.
The degree of conversion of luting cement is the process of converting monomer to polymer which is responsible for different mechanical and physical properties of the luting cement which is in turn these process is affected by different intrinsic and extrinsic factor such as the shade and thickness of material used, curing method, the different component of resin used and light intensity.
