Abstract
Delusion is sign of overlap between schizophrenia and psychotic bipolar disorder. Delusion means a false belief based on incorrect and incontrovertible thought about external reality that is firmly held despite what everyone else believes.
Types of delusions vary in schizophrenia as persecutory or bizarre delusions. These delusions may be happen with other manifestations like hallucinations, disturbed thoughts or abnormal motor behavior.
On the other side, the delusions in the manic phase of bipolar disorder associated with over activity and grandiosity. Whereas low mood delusions or unfounded guilt were frequent in the depressed phase of bipolar disorder.
A huge body of this research talking about that type of delusions in schizophrenia or psychotic bipolar disorder is correlated to symptoms profile and clinical variables of both disorders. Furthermore the delusional severity can be assessed
