Synthesis of Some Novel Pyridinethione Nucleosides of Expected Chemotherapeutic Effect

Abstract
The present investigation comprises a brief literature survey on the synthesis, chemistry and biological activities of pyrimidinethione nucleosides and their deaza analogues " pyridinethione nucleosides". Certain new non-classical nucleosides were synthesized and some of these compounds were subjected to anticancer screening and the results obtained were summarized.
