Abstract
Pasteurella multocida, a common pathogen in rabbits, is usually associated with upper respiratory disease .Rabbits can become infected with Pasteurella multocida after birth and the prevalence of colonization increases with age until about 5 months, the disease causes a wide variety inflammatory lesions including rhinitis, pneumonia, otitis media ,metritis
, orchitis and subcutaneous abscesses. Pasteurellosis has been identified as a major cause of financial loss to the rabbit industry.
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease is an extremely contagious and often fatal viral disease of domesticated and wild rabbits. Severe losses are common in unvaccinated animals. The disease characterized by nervous and respiratory signs, lethargy, and anorexion, most or all of the rabbits may die , High morbidity and mortality rates can be over 90 percent.
