Abstract

Nour El-Din Hany Abdel Fattah "Optimization of Low Energy Wireless Receivers", Master of Science dissertation, Ain Shams University, 2018.
This thesis presents a low energy WiFi receiver used in IoT applications, and a proposed technique for its energy reduction, in addition to the technique which is used to lower the energy of the receiver, a power optimization is introduced, the power optimization for the receiver would also help in lowering the energy of the system, power optimization is to be done through optimizing the dynamic range for each stage in the receiver, single balanced current driven passive mixer is the stage which is chosen to derive its dynamic range to be used in the power optimization of the receiver, in order to derive an expression for the dynamic range, an expression for the third order intercept point as well as an expression for the input referred noise are derived. a single balanced current driven using TSMC180 is designed and the derived expressions are applied on it.
