Evaluation of the efficacy of potential inhibitors for the non- structural 3/4A protease of genotype 4a Hepatitis C virus
Sara Mohammed El-Sayed;
Abstract
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection poses a considerable threat to the public health
Purpose
The aim of the present study was to identify and evaluate novel compounds that might exhibit inhibitory activity against HCV NS3/4A protease from HCV genotype 4a, the most prevalent genotype in the Middle East and Egypt.
Materials and methods
1) The HCV NS3/4A protease cDNA was amplified by polymerase chain reaction.
