Abstract

The highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) virus is an epidemic disease with consequences problems for poultry industry and human health, using either vaccination or antiviral drugs in the control of H5N1 were not enough to eradicate the virus because of its privilege to shift and drift its antigens and became resistant to them. The major components of bee venom are melittin and secretory phospholipase A2 (sPLA2), which are known by their antiviral effect against both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
