Interventional Nutrition Education Program for Sixth Grade Students in a Governmental Primary School in Giza Governorate

Abstract
n interventional study was carried out in one of the governmental primary schools in Giza governorate to measure knowledge, attitude and practice of sixth grade, primary school students about healthy eating habits and healthy diet and to implement and assess a nutrition education program regarding healthy eating habits and healthy diet.
A sample of 125 sixth grade primary school students was included by convenience sampling technique. A health education program was implemented through an interventional educative session using attractive teaching techniques like flash cards, brain-storming games about healthy and unhealthy foods and puzzles giveaways as reward in contributing at the study. The students were assessed pre-intervention, directly post-intervention and 2 months after the intervention.
