Effect of granisetron vs granisetron with dexamethasone on post postoperative shivering in patient undergoing gynecological surgery under general anesthesia

Abstract
Postoperative shivering which is troublesome condition owing to perioperative hypothermia and postoperative pain is distressing to both clinician and patients
It increases postoperative complication such as pain, infection and bleeding
PS increase oxygen oxygen consumption by 300% to 400, increasing the risk of hypoxemia, inducing lactic acidosis, carbon dioxide production, and catecholamine release, resulting in increased cardiac output, heart rate, and arterial pressure which can lead to critical ischemia in the postoperative period
Studies have reported an incidence of 5% to 65% after general anesthesia and 30% to 33% after epidural procedures
