One hundred and twenty water samples collected from different sources including surface, ground (poultry farms) and tap water at Ismailia governorate and the origin of Ismailia canal (Mostorod) were subjected to chemical examination for some heavy metal pollutants to evaluate their hygienic quality. The effect of the highest levels of these pollutants and 10 times levels (1Ox) on the chick's performance and immtme system when drinking such polluted water as well as the effect of these pollutants on the efficacy of poultry vaccines when such polluted water is used as a vaccine diluent were studied.
