Abstract
ABSTRACT
In the last decade, there has been a rapid growth of interest in the advanced composite materials in the form of reinforced polymers (FRP) as a promising technique for strengthening structural members. Behavior of normal concrete beams strengthened for additional capacity in flexure or in shear has been investigated by many researchers. Behavior of light-weight concrete beam strengthened for flexure or shear simultaneously have received limited attention. This research aims to investigate the behavior of light -weight concrete beams strengthened in flexure and shear using two types of FRP CFRP and GFRP.
