SYNTHESIS AND TECHNOLOGY OF HIGHLY RESISTANT SEA WATER HYBRID SYSTEM CONCRETE
Shereen Fathy Ahmed Darwish;
Abstract
Summary:
In this research, the properties and behavior of the hybrid concrete were compared with the ordinary concrete produced from ordinary Portland cement and sulphate resistant cement. The water cooled blast furnace slag and thermally treated slag were used as base materials in producing geopolymer concrete used in the hybrid concrete system to increase the resistance of ordinary concrete when exposed to sea water.
To help in explaining the experimental results, the Scanning Electron Microscopy SEM
analysis and the X-Ray Diffraction patterns were done for number of concrete samples.
