ASSESSMENT OF BOND STRENGTH OF TWO NOVEL CERAMIC MATERIALS AFTER DIFFERENT SURFACE TREATMENTS
Maged Mostafa Yousef El-Naggar;
Abstract
T h i s study was designed to investigate the effect of
four different surface treatment modalities : (1) sandbalsting,
(2) sandblasting + < 5% hydrofluoric acid etching, (3) sandblasting
+ silane, (4) sandblasting + < 5% hydrofluoric acid etching +
silane, on surface topography of two different ceramic materials
(IPS Empress 2 and In-Ceram Zirconia), and to study the shear
bond strength of these treated ceramic materials with RelyX ARC
resin cement.
