The Effect of magnesium sulphate on intubating condition for rapid-sequence induction; comparative study of magnesium sulphate versus ketamine in rapid sequence induction

Abstract


In this prospective single blind study conducted on 75 patients undergoing elective surgery, we tried to evaluate the effect of the magnesium sulphate on the onset time, duration, train of four ratio, hemodynamics and intubating conditions of Rocuronium bromide. The summary of our findings are the excellent intubating condition was more frequent in the magnesium group compared to the other groups,onset of neuromuscular block was shorter in the magnesium group than in the control and ketamine groups
