Mahmoud Shoukry Mahmoud;

Abstract

n conclusion, the result of this study indicates the use of denosumab in patients with giant cell tumor of bone, This neoadvujant denosumab therapy facilitate surgery, making resection technically easier and allow for less morbid surgery than that was needed without use of the denosumab as neoadjuvant treatment. Also treatment with denosumab showed pain relief and decreased analgesics use in patients with giant cell tumor of bone and thereby showed improved functional outcomes.
Although no lack in studies published regarding denosumab treatment for patients with giant cell tumor of bone yet the quality of published studies is low. Further high quality randomized studies and prospective studies are needed to support the results of this study.
