Spectroscopic Studies of Some Physical Properties of Nano-structure Barium Titanate Co-doped with Sn and Rare Earth Elements Ba(Ti1-xSnx)O3:RE3+

Olfat Elsayed Naser Mahmoud;

Abstract

The aim of the present work is to study some of the spectroscopic and physical properties of Ba(Ti0.9Sn0.1) O3: RE3+ where, RE3+ are neodymium (Nd3+ ions), and Nd3+/Yb3+ (Ytterbium) to reach the best composition with superior dielectric properties and up-conversion emission spectra in order to be suitable for capacitors and laser applications.
This thesis is divided in to four chapters in addition to list of tables, list of figures and references.
Chapter one: Is devoted to the introduction, brief theoretical background of structure, dielectric and spectroscopic properties of material, and also includes overview of the literature survey, an extensive overview of pure and co-doped BaTiO3 with Nd3+ and Yb3+ ions and also other rare earth; from their structure, spectroscopic and physical properties.
