Abstract
Recently, the use of natural products in many fields is becoming more popular especially as cancer therapy. This is due to the fact that natural products or phytochemicals have less toxicity and fewer side effects when compared to the traditional cancer therapies (RT, CT and surgery).
Neem leaf, especially its ethanolic extract, has many properties like anti- bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, sedative and anti-cancerous effects.
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of ENLE on tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell line (SCC-15) and evaluated its cytotoxic effect on cancer cells in comparison to untreated control cells, by estimating its ability to induce apoptosis and inhibit proliferation, with different concentrations at different durations.
