TORSIONAL BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE EDGE BEAMS CARRYING PRECAST SLABS
Mahmoud Osama Abd EL-Wahab El-Nattar;
Abstract
The experimental work of the present study consisted of testing three specimens (S1 to S3) under a line load over slabs increasing at the top of these specimens, from zero up to failure.

The theoretical phase of this study was conducted by introducing a complete nonlinear finite element analysis using (ANSYS Ver.14.0). The program has the distinct ability to model steel to concrete interface characteristics (bond slip) in three-dimension Cartesian space. Three-dimension constitutive relationships are used to describe the behavior of concrete. This includes enhancement of the response due to confinement and softening of the response due to transverse tension as well as tension stiffening.
