Assessment of Children's Oral Health Care Practices and their Dental Problems

Abstract
Findings of the current study can be summarized as follows:
- The mean age of the studied children was 8.9 years. Regarding to the studied children’s gender it was found that 52.5% of them were males and the rest of them were females.
- Almost 70% of the studied children were living in rural residence and less than half of them (42.5%) were ranked as the middle child in the family.
- The majority (95%) of the studied children had decayed teeth and most (80%) of them had healthy gum.
- Half of the children knew the importance of the teeth in chewing, talking, and appearance.
- The majority (95%) of the studied children stated that dental caries is the most form of dental problems and most of them had decayed teeth.
- Most of the studied children (83.8%) had unsatisfactory total knowledge regarding oral health
