Optimal Design of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems

Amr Hosny Mohamed El-Enany;

Abstract

Currently, the rising energy demand considered dramatic depletion of fossil fuels and causing rise for energy fees. Additionally, the fossil fuel is exhausted power resource and reflect negatively on the surrounding environment due to the toxic gases which produced during burning the fossil fuel. So, the renewable power source is the best solution for this problem and consider environmentally friendly source, but the capital cost and fluctuation in renewable resource consider the main obstacle for using the renewable power source. It is necessary to find a system to overcome all previous challenges. The use of hybrid renewable energy is the solution to the above. It is a combination of different types of renewable energy sources (the main source of energy) and traditional energy sources (the secondary source of energy) In the case of the inability of renewable sources to achieve the required energy, but a study must be done to achieve the optimal design of the possibility of knowing the size of each energy source in terms of the cost of purchase, operation, maintenance, replacement and other expenses and through this study is the optimal choice for the size for each source that used in the power generation system.
