Cleaning Ability Of Multiple Versus Single Rotary File Systems (In-Vitro Study)
Abdelrhman Mohamed Mahmoud;
Abstract
This in vitro study was conducted to compare the cleaning ability of multiple (Race) rotary system versus single (Neolix) rotary system, regarding smear layer and debris amount present after mechanical preparation of the root canals.
Forty mandibular molars were selected and divided randomly and equally into two groups, Group A (Neolix) and Group B (Race). Access cavity was carried out to all teeth and k-file size 10 was used to check the patency of the root canals.
Group A was mechanically prepared by Neolix file system where C1 file was used to open the root canal orifice, using brushing motion for 5 mm from the working length in crown-down manner. Then A1 file size 0.25 and taper 6% was used in pecking motion reaching full working length , canals were thoroughly irrigated using 2 ml of 2.5% sodium hypochlorite using a needle of 22 gauge.
