Diagnostic Study of Selected Types of Cardiac Arrhythmias of Dogs

Abstract

Cardiac conduction system consisted of specialized muscle cells dedicated for synchronizing function as it have the ability of spontaneous diastolic depolarization. These cells is called Sino-Atrial (SA) node which serve the normal pacemaker of the heart. This node is to be found at the cranial aspect of the right atrium. its Electrical impulses spread into both atria then via the Atrio-Ventricular (AV) node to the conduction system into the ventricles. This electrical activity is spotted via electrodes placed on body surface connected to a voltmeter like machine which called electrocardiograph (ECG).
